About me
Hello, I'm Ana Vaz
a mentor specialising in relationships and sexuality.
I created this space because I felt bound by conventional ideas about love, intimacy, and how we “should” be. I wanted something different — something more true.
My Journey and Background
My journey into unconventional intimacy began when I realised that traditional norms around relationships and intimacy simply didn’t work for me.
I remember feeling confined by the expectations of how I should love, the relationships I should value, and the version of myself I should be to fit in.
Deep down, though, I knew there was something more — something that resonated with my true self.
This realisation sparked a journey of unlearning limiting rules and exploring what it means to connect and love – my way!

Seeking understanding and a sense of belonging, I looked for support groups where I could openly talk about relationships.
When I couldn’t find them, I decided to create them— safe, affirming spaces where open dialogue, mutual support, and genuine connection could thrive.
These groups became a lifeline, offering the community and belonging I had been missing in normative circles. Through them, with the help of the community, I discovered that there’s no single “right” way to live or love.
Today, I’m passionate about helping others find their voices, rewrite their stories, and create space for self-discovery.
Being part of the solution
Years ago, I realised something important: men and women often operate from mismatched scripts, and many people feel isolated in their desires, boundaries, or needs.
Sometimes, the problem goes even deeper: people don’t fully know what they want, or they doubt if what they think they want is truly theirs, or simply the result of conditioning.
Untangling this confusion requires curiosity, honesty, and supportive spaces where these questions can be safely explored.
Empowerment is my mission.
This is more than a statement; it’s the reason I set out to bridge the gap between what people are taught about love, connection, and power, and what they actually experience.
I want to do more than point out differences; I aim to create spaces for learning, self-reflection, and practical growth, helping individuals navigate relationships and sexuality consciously.
That’s why AnaVaz.Inspire was born: to provide guidance rooted in experience, empathy, and evidence: helping people create clarity, confidence, and meaningful connections.
What Guides me
I draw on years of experience in non-monogamous and non-normative sexuality communities, alongside my training as a teacher and trainer, to help people navigate these often tricky waters.
This is about more than advice: it’s about building self-awareness, confidence, and connection in a conscious and informed way.

Interviews & Media
In the past few years, I’ve been invited to share insights on non-normative relationship styles across various media outlets, contributing to interviews and articles that explore this topic.
